Education:
Coach Sparks laid the foundation for his journey at Sequoyah High School, graduating in 2010. He further honed his passion for sports by earning a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Reinhardt University in 2014. Not stopping there, Coach Sparks continued his education at the University of West Florida, graduating in 2016 with a Teaching Certification in Special Education.
Playing Career:
Coach Sparks wasn't just a strategist on the sidelines; he made history as a player. While at Reinhardt University, he played lacrosse and played a pivotal role in securing the university's first win in a historic victory over Furman University, ending with a remarkable score of 15-7. Starting all 13 games as a freshman, Coach Sparks showcased his dedication to the game. However, he made the tough decision to forgo his senior season to pursue his true passion – coaching.
Coaching Career:
Coach Sparks began his coaching journey at Pickens County High School in Jasper, Georgia. Over four years, he coached both football and baseball, making a significant impact. In football, he handled the Inside Linebackers and Defensive Line, leading the Dragons to the playoffs three out of the four years, breaking a seven-year playoff drought. Simultaneously, in baseball, Coach Sparks contributed to three consecutive GHSA playoff appearances.
Transitioning to Sequoyah High School in 2017, Coach Sparks continued to make waves. Over three years coaching football for the Chiefs, he not only coached Running Backs but also acted as the Freshman Offensive Coordinator. Under his guidance, the Chiefs made the GHSA state playoffs twice in three years, with an impressive Elite 8 finish.
Since 2018, Coach Sparks has been at the helm of the Men's Lacrosse team at Sequoyah. Coach Sparks is always trying to find a way to make Sequoyah Lacrosse a better place. Coach Sparks is still in pursuit of making the GHSA Playoffs for the first time in school history in Men’s Lacrosse. Coach Sparks has built a staff that will be able to put this team in the most successful place they can be.
Personal:
Beyond the field, Coach Sparks finds joy in family life. Married to Brittan, they are proud parents to their son Barrett. Coach Sparks dedicates his time not only to coaching his son in youth baseball but also to volunteering with his church and contributing to Chiefs TV. His commitment extends beyond the sports arena, touching the lives of athletes and communities alike. Coach Sparks and his family are active members of Generations Church in Canton, Ga. Coach Ben Sparks is not just a coach; he's a leader, a family man, and a positive force in every aspect of his life.

A Norcross High School graduate of 1997, Billy continued his athletic journey at Lambuth University, excelling in football from ’97 to ‘98. He later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of West Georgia in 2002.
With a wealth of coaching experience, Coach Pichon has devoted 5 years to CYL Lacrosse, 4 years to Cherokee Xtreme Lacrosse, and an additional 4 years to the Cherokee Junior Warriors. His impact extends to Sequoyah High School, where he dedicated 3 years to lacrosse and another year to football.
Beyond coaching, Billy is a family man, supported by his wife Cassie, who is also actively involved at Sequoyah with Competition and Sideline Cheer. His two sons, Will and Logan, both are Sequoyah Lacrosse Lettermen.
Additionally, Coach Pichon serves and attends Generations Church in Canton, GA. Coach Pichon embodies leadership both on and off the field.

Post graduation, Gina has been working in the secondary school setting. Gina worked as the athletic trainer for Paulding County High School from 2017-2019 and has worked at Sequoyah High School since 2019. Prior to entering the University of Georgia, Gina worked with Georgia State’s Men’s Basketball
team assisting the Head Athletic Trainer as an intern. While attending college, Gina assisted with UGA women’s basketball, softball, track and field, and Oconee County High School football. Between semesters, she interned as a student athletic trainer for Stegman Coliseum. While working in these various positions, Gina has grown to love the high school setting. She enjoys working with the younger athletes while also mentoring athletic training student aides and being a resource for healthcare education.
Gina married her husband, Cameron, in 2018 and currently resides in Canton with their two boys Archer and Brooks, and their two dogs Sox and Kona. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and attending church.
