The mission of the Sequoyah Boys Face Off Club, Inc.

The mission of the Sequoyah Boys Face Off Club, Inc. is to provide comprehensive support to the men’s lacrosse program at Sequoyah High School. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters success both on and off the field, enriching the overall experience for student-athletes, parents, and the community.

Our support includes the following:

  • Promoting Parent and Student Involvement: We strive to actively engage both parents and students in the program. By fostering open communication and involvement, we aim to build a strong sense of community and pride in the program. Through volunteer efforts, event participation, and direct engagement with coaches, we create a team culture that extends beyond the field.
  • Coordinating All Supporting Activities: We take responsibility for organizing a wide range of activities that benefit the program, from fundraising events to team bonding activities. These initiatives help provide essential resources for the team and bring players, families, and supporters together to build lasting connections.
  • Encouraging Attendance at Lacrosse-Related Functions: We believe that supporting our athletes extends beyond game day. We encourage attendance at all lacrosse-related events, including practices, games, banquets, and team meetings. This presence strengthens team morale, builds a loyal fan base, and reinforces the sense of community surrounding the program.
  • Providing Services, Facilities, and Equipment Not Provided by the School: While the school provides a foundation, we take on the responsibility of ensuring that the program has the necessary tools for success. This includes purchasing additional equipment, securing enhanced training facilities, and providing logistical support that the school may not cover. By doing so, we help to elevate the program’s performance and experience.
  • Ensuring Recognition for the Men’s Lacrosse Program and Its Athletes: We believe that our athletes deserve recognition for their hard work, both individually and as a team. We are committed to celebrating their accomplishments, promoting their achievements, and ensuring that the community recognizes the dedication and talent of our players.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that participation in the lacrosse program teaches valuable life lessons, such as discipline, integrity, respect, and perseverance. These are qualities that will serve our athletes well beyond their time on the field. As parents, we have a responsibility to support our students in every endeavor, and as boosters, we are devoted to providing the resources and encouragement needed for them to thrive.

We recognize that this program is more than just a sport—it is a vital part of our students’ growth and development, their high school experience, and the fabric of our community. By working together as parents, students, and supporters, we aim to cultivate a program that not only achieves success on the field but also fosters personal growth, school pride, and lasting community bonds.
